Renting office space for your startup can be very beneficial. Not only does it give everyone a place to gather, but you’re also likely to be more productive in your office space. Plus, having an office space will make you come across as more professional to investors and vendors.

Once you have an idea of the size, location, and budget, it’s time to start searching for office rental spaces.

  • What’s included in the lease?
  • Who takes care of repairs?
  • What measures do you take to keep the building safe?
  • How easy is it to find parking in the area?
  • Who owns the building?
  • What’s all included in the lease?
  • What amenities do you offer?

By asking these questions, you’ll get a better understanding of whether or not the space is right for you. 

Talk to Other Building Tenants 

The last thing you want is to get stuck in a long-term lease with a sketchy landlord or a building that’s falling apart. 

To make sure you know what you’re getting into, it’s a good idea to talk to other tenants in the building. Ask them about how satisfied they are with their rental space, if they’ve had any problems, and if they’re planning on renewing their lease.
