The Challenge

As Dow Jones made the decision to go remote for the foreseeable future, OMX was tasked with finding the best solution to make sure their 130 employees had all their office belongings. The movers were faced with not only packing each employee’s office space, but also configurating how to best coordinate delivery to each of their residences throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.

The Solution 

Once all the contents were packed and the number of boxes for each employee was confirmed, the on-site OMX project manager constructed a final list detailing each employee name, address, phone number, email address, and number of boxes. The project manager then developed a 4-day route schedule based on the various locations.

Results

The Dow Jones employees were called the day before their delivery day to confirm delivery and note any special instructions. All deliveries were made successfully, and the project was even completed one day ahead of schedule.
