The Challenge
OMX was recently contracted to relocate the contents, computers and IT equipment for approximately 100 employees at national insurance provider Aetna from one floor to another in Newark, Delaware. This had to be done with no disruption to the critical healthcare services they provide to their clients.
The Solution
The crew quickly and efficiently handled the disconnect & reconnect of IT equipment, relocated all equipment, contents, workstations and miscellaneous furniture pieces to another floor and provided wire maintenance. While this was being done, part of the crew gathered surplus IT equipment on the origin floor and moved to a staging area for pickup by the client’s e-waste company. Once the moving and IT reconnects were complete, OMX removed surplus boxes and chairs for recycling.
Results
The job was completed quickly with little employee downtime and the crew checked all workstations, conference rooms and offices for any papers and trash, then did a complete wipe-down of all drawers and work surfaces with disinfectant cleaning solution to minimize bacterial spread. All of this was done while following COVID-19 safety protocols. In the end the project was successfully completed ahead of schedule with no complications.
